2nd April 2012 - The National Careers Service has been launched, for more information please see the National Careers Service website

We will now be offering National Careers Service Appointments in North Norfolk.

 

4th October 2011 - We are planning some TCHC (The  Consultancy Home Counties) funded courses in North Norfolk.  Keep any eye on this page for more  information and the funding criteria.  For more information on TCHC and to possibly find out about other projects please see

8th August 2011 - Free IT workshops in Fakenham for September

 

Whether you are a beginner, want to learn how to produce a spreadsheet need to set up an e mail account to apply for jobs on line or you want to learn about a specific MS programme then these workshops are for you.

Available for 6 weeks from Friday 16 September 9.30-1200 at Rural Federation Training Centre, next to SAM windows on George Edwards Industrial Estate.

20th July 2011 - Food Safety Success!

In May 30 adults from Fakenham and the surrounding area attended a day course on food safety at Fakenham College and took the examination for the Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering which is the benchmark qualification in the Food industry. The results have just been received and there was 100% pass rate, wonderful news!

Participants on the course were job seekers, those who are already working in catering needing to update their qualification and volunteers from local churches and voluntary groups.

The course is an example of effective partnership between Learning for Everyone and Fakenham Learning Community.

Learning for Everyone are planning an IT course in Fakenham, again using the College facilities, this time the Federation Training Centre - IT suite which is on George Edward Industrial Estate in Fakenham. The course will be for all abilities, so whether you are a beginner, want to learn how to email or improve your excel skills please contact us. The course is free and focussed on those planning to return to the job market. Planned start date Thursday 28 July for 5 weeks until 1 September from 9.30 – 12.30

23 May 2011 - Business Admin courses at Merchants' Place have now been running for 14 consecutive terms. 'I am delighted and amazed that we have achieved this milestone. It is a clear indication of the need for administrative skills in North Norfolk' say tutor Glenis Leach. Literally hundreds of business administration qualifications have been achieved in this time, the latest cohort received there certificates from Denise Treissman at her retirement celebration. 

 

18 May 2011 - Performance indicators on the way!

 

12th May 2011 - Denise Treissman retires after 9 years service to the North Norfolk Community, Leaving Party Pictures.

2 May 2011 - Our Matrix Re-Accreditation dates are June 14th & 15th

 

8 April 2011 - Funding for our service has been confirmed for 2011/12!

 

1 April 2011 - Next Step contract extended - The Next Step contract has been extended till March 2012.  This is to deliver Information, Advice & Guidance to adults in North Norfolk.  Learning for Everyone has now been a sub contractor to Next Step for 7 years, since 2004.
